The Independents Club, the modern contemporary men’s dress and lifestyle concessions store in partnership with The Holborn Magazine will be hosting its third pop-up gentleman’s dress and lifestyle retail lounge from Monday 25th April – Sunday 1st May.
The pop-up lounge, housed in the exquisite surroundings of its five-floor Holborn Georgian town house, will host a series of free events celebrating the iconic gentleman.
Each day ends with a special presentation aimed at highlighting the modern greats of media, film and music that have influenced the men we are today, with planned movie nights, discussions, introductions to independent brands of the future and showcasing and tasting of beverages from independent distilleries and breweries.
The schedule includes:
In the surroundings of our awe-inspiring five floor Georgian building directly opposite the British Museum, guests are invited to spend an afternoon, an evening or even the whole day in The Independent Club’s company browsing handcrafted bespoke clothing, sipping on gentleman’s cocktails made from independently distilled spirits and admiring handmade furniture and accessories sourced from independent makers across Europe, UK and U.S.
A film screening of the ‘With Love Project’ Film – a 3000-mile journey around the UK meeting some of the UK’s most inspirational makers and designers. Followed by a Q&A with Rob & Chris themselves.
Grab a gin and join The Drinks Cabinet Podcast for a live cast recording, where they will be gathering a handful of drinks professionals and drink enthusiasts to explore the world of gin, its history, the best way to enjoy Mother’s Ruin and take a look at the current market.
Simon Middleton of The Shackleton Company presents the companies journey from musical instrument producers to a lifestyle brand – all inspired by the famous heroic explorer Ernest Shackleton. Not only that, but The Shackleton will be celebrating great British manufacturing – their knitwear is made in Leicester, footwear in Northampton, outerwear in the Midlands, leather goods in Herefordshire, hats in Oxfordshire, pewter hip flasks in Sheffield.
